Russ Baker, CEO


Russ is CEO and co-founder of Cymbic, Inc. Russ has directed product development, marketing, and business development in the high-tech and software industries for more than 15 years. During that time, he has consulted on positioning, marketing and corporate branding for companies like Ascend Communications, Sendmail, Advent Software and Quantum Shift. Before launching Cymbic, Russ worked as a marketing specialist for Stanley Associates and the Marks Group. Russ received his undergraduate degree in communications and graphic design from the University of Washington. His MBA was earned at the Dominican University. He has taught strategic design regularly at the San Francisco Academy of Art.


Christopher Kenton, President and Senior Strategist


Chris is President and co-founder of Cymbic. With an extensive background in strategic marketing and software development, Chris’ activities at Cymbic typically encompass program development and client relations. Chris specializes in market development, competitive positioning, marketing effectiveness and product usability. Prior to Cymbic Chris was founder of CBT publisher Scribe Software, the lead developer of DevX.com, a commercial portal for software developers, and served on the board of Touchpoint Metrics. A frequent author and speaker on marketing and technology issues, Chris is a columnist for Business Week and has been a contributing editor to MarketingProfs.com, WebBuilder Magazine, JavaPro Magazine, Visual Basic Programmer's Journal, and was co-author of Web Programming for IE 5.0 Unleashed.


Kenichi Nishiwaki, Creative Principal


Kenichi is Creative Principal and co-founder of Cymbic. Kenichi has directed creative development and design for more than 18 years, leading the development of identity and branding for more than 150 companies, including Ascend Communications, Sendmail, Sony and Copper Mountain. Kenichi is an internationally known expert on corporate identity and visual marketing and has served as an instructor at the San Francisco Academy of Art specializing in corporate identity. Prior to Cymbic, Kenichi was Design Director at Addison, and recieved his BFA from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. Born and raised in Japan, Kenichi brings an astute cross-cultural sensibility to the design process, instrumental as the bridge local and international clientele.


Nik P. Orfanos, Technical Director


Nik has been Technical Director at Cymbic since 1999. A specialist in Information Services, Nik has led the technical development, integration, usability and inteface design for dozens of engineering projects emphasizing supply chain, business metrics, system control and customer relationships. Constantly testing and exploring new technologies, he has developed numerous tools to solve intractable client problems, including applications for campaign metrics, user tracking and content management. Prior to Cymbic, Nik was IT Manager for an automotive parts distributor where he built and managed business systems, including databases, servers and applications.
